While visiting the local Bigfoot shop on the way back from filming Beyond Geek - Kinetic Sculpture Racing in Humboldt County, I came across an Intergalactic Sasquatch sticker featuring a certain wookiee we all know and love.
There he was, striding in full on classic Bigfoot mode made famous in the Patterson-Gilmlin film shot near there back in 1967.
I’m nearly 100% sure the sticker wasn’t Lucasfilm approved (although I have a legit “Java the Hutt” t-shirt I bought directly from Skywalker Ranch, so I know they have a sense of humor). Real or not, it 100% put a smile on my face. I only wished Odin was there to enjoy it with me.
Years ago, Odin and I made the music video Running with Bigfoot for the band Groovie Ghoulies.
We recreated that same style shot with Odin as Bigfoot, wearing a suit of fur that had doubled as a wookiee suit on at least one occasion.
I cannot confirm, nor deny purchasing said sticker, but it sure was perfect.
Until next time, watch out for Bigfoot trying to cross the street… and happy viewing!
Joe
P.S. Do you think the Patterson-Gilmlin film was real or fake?
